love the schoolhouse lights and the beadboard cabinetry. Don't need one quite this elaborate but I like the chic country old school look.

if I could knock out our laundry and do this to the back side of our house tomorrow, I would.........pendant lights might be a little cluttered. Not sure I would go with every feature, but the layout gives me visions.

Could we do a smaller reverse version of this ? Hmmmm

lots of cool stuff going on here.....wondering about our ability to move dining room door transition to the left (as you look towards dining room from kitchen) which would allow us to round the corner and tuck a fridge in like this....perhaps ?

like what's going on with this island...in height and schoolhouse lighting. Our transition to the den wouldn't look like this, but if we did need to maintain a single support after knocking out the wall, I love the trim on those support poles.

don't know exactly where this would go, but I love it.

the flush mount school house lights are also cool and a great alternative to the pendant, especially since we have short ceilings. Like the beadboard celing behind them.

I can see the knockout of our wall looking something like this.

Love the built in desk. Mobile workers need not dedicate an entire room to an office in 2011.
