Houzz is the new way to design your home.
creative remodeling to make that island merge into that support beam
dark grey grout
ceiling coffering. silver pendant lighting. White marble counterops, but are they practical?
shelving above the refrigerator to maximize storage space
painted white brick (we have brick!). passthrough is nice, but a bit smaller than we would want
pass through would echo the arch in between the living and dining room.
the pass through
the way the columns look intentional, not just "covering up a support beam."
the pass through has storage and the boxiness is diminished by the corbels
faucet, sink, lighting, open and airy, non-fussy appeal
glass front upper shelving, vintage wooden cabinet, beadboard
the vertical lines drawing the eye up
Love the exposed white brick walls and how they finished off the window casing with wood finish, not painted wood. clean, industrial look
set the cabinets on the counter - versatility- either tuck in appliances for changeable appliance garages, or simply leave the space bare to create an airier look. Alleviates the "hanging in the middle of nowhere" cabinet look.
the bar/passthrough makes it feel like one room but keeps guests separated and out of the kitchen
subway tile backsplash rustic plain look
built in banquet/window seating
barn door pantry
stick some chairs at that island and hang out? love the way the cabinet meld right into the ceiling. love the ceiling fixtures. combined with pocket lighting for layered lighting
shuttered doors on cabinets. low country plantation look. love the sink looking out onto the rest of the house. need more counter space to the left of sink.
merging two rooms into one with counter/pass thru
horizontal ceiling and wall panels but might date the space.
just love the whole look, though the ceiling is a bit dark, makes the whole room feel dark. Love the white, silver, sink, table, fixtures, reclaimed beams for ceiling and floor, drawer/cabinet pulls, stove.
