bonus room ceiling
this is shiplap according to builder
another example of shiplap- builder suggests painting with thinned paint
refered to by designer as tounge & groove shiplap
this builder said it was shiplap that had been milled specially to get nickle size gap
architect says these are plain boards, not tongue & groove
Thanks Tong, we had 6" ship-lap boards milled out of MDF. The boards fit together with an overlap...however we left a small reveal where they overlap to give the ceiling some texture.
This is a painted "nickel gap" boarding. Individual boards that have been milled with a tongue and groove milling that allows a small "nickel size" gap between each board.
