Little sunny spot off to the left? Want that for our kitchen. And, not all totally open concept, and sunken living room. Colors all too bright and light.
I look at this, and just because of the lines of the space, I want to spend time here. Long room, not a square, slanted walls, window seat- INSTANT comfort. None of the colors or furnishings are attractive to me, but I want to be in this room. If you have to step down to get into it it's like climbing into the warmest bath, ultimate comfort and relaxation for me, no clue why??
I like walking into a house and having options, having to choose a route, not seeing the whole thing, the privacy and mystery of it. Also, contains your greeting to just that, not overwhelmed by whole thing, all the people or activities at once. I like the timing of life that it creates, if that makes sense?
Think guests WOULD congregate in living room at this house as well as kitchen because seating is all close together and cozy, rooms aren't overwhelming size.
Beveled mirror, color of cabinetry
Ahh Entryway! Love!!! Not a blank box, but choices, little areas, interest - love it!
Door! Little separate foyer area.
Love that for any room staying away from a perfect square or rectangle shape and angling the walls creates spaces and functions that are cozy and interesting in one larger area.
Color of cabinets
Kitchen is a whole room, not just half of one big space, like that. Accessible, visible to next room, but definitely separate.
Sunken, separate - but finishes are too formal.
Sun, stone, fireplace - what else could you ask for? I want to LIVE in this room. Hope it's near the kitchen for coffee ;-)
Materials, old, look and feel, style.
Colors. Don't like stuff hanging out, would be too messy, but this is so great. Colors, wainscoting, white woodwork framing it all, wheat colored rug - so beautiful, all of it.
Door!!! All colors! Paneled walls, wood - LOVE this.
Designated place for puppy to lay, dutch door, such pretty colors
Rug, windows at entry, little half door so those entering can feel a little private, don't have to instantly greet whole house.
Puppies would LOVE a little space to sleep!!!
So much to love here. Colors, wood, pitched roof, glass, green, white, beams. Want doors on cabinets to eliminate clutter and a tub surround and shower tucked away and more private, but love so much of this.
Oh my goodness - doors!
Love the small size and how close in and tight and cozy it looks and feels - reading room.
Love a little bump out at a place to read during a thunderstorm, living room or reading room or bedroom doesn't matter, reminds me of that room in Scotland I love
Windows! Maybe in front of house??
I don't like the open sight line or too tall ceilings, feel like I'm going to float up into the sky, but I do love the sunroom right there by kitchen. Keep thinking it's either/or with screened porch, but maybe both?
So, make a screen porch in summer with screens, but in March, Nov, etc get sun in the room for get togethers like our brunch?
More evidence for a sunroom, which I've always hated! Ha!
ohmygoodness yes! sunroom
Feels like a storybook cottage kitchen, can't even imagine how wonderful to eat stew at that table in the winter, fireplace next to you, cozy size and shape of room, low ceiling, beams - just LOVE it. Speaks to my insides!!!
Perch for puppies! They would LOVE this. And right next to my desk, too, so we are together during the day. Perfect!!
Love the stacked wood, next to fireplace, and entrance right there to screen porch or sunroom. Wish fireplace was two way for out there, too.
Colors, finishes, just for a small space like my office or a bathroom.
Love that the doorway is both arched and deep and of course all wood.
Kitchen height low, living room height higher for view
So pretty but not great for security by an entrance I suppose?
Love WIDE hallways. When we are in homes with them, staircases too, we always remark how great it is.
