In addition to some great thrift scores, her creative moves included displaying a vintage Marimekko piece of fabric with stretchers, and cutting up FLOR tiles to create a unique area rug. |

4. A graphic designer's townhouse in South Australia: Alicia Parsons, a.k.a. Atypical Type A, has transformed her townhouse with paint, thrifted finds, artwork and creativity. The design of this neat workspace was inspired by the yellow lamp.

Alicia and her husband transformed a depressing courtyard that was "devoid of any living thing" into a wonderful retreat, complete with Panton S chairs, bamboo plants for screening, and sculptural piece fashioned from a mirror and iron wall sconce piece, complete with candles.
