Whether stained or painted, the color of kitchen cabinets calms or invigorates a space.
This is a lovely subtle grey stain that is quiet and elegant.
This red on the other hand, is vivid, warm, and dynamic.
The "blonde" finish on these cabinets was a popular wood tone during the mid Twentieth century. Paired with dark granite counters and stainless steel appliances, it conveys a crisp contemporary elegance.
Both the muted sea-green/blue of the cabinets and the grey-brown of the refrigerator doors are lovely...and work together well with the pale stone counter and floor.
An abundance of natural wood is softened by pale plaster walls and open space filled with soft dappled light. This is one of my favorite spaces.
I can't really tell whether these cabinets are stained, pickled, or painted, but I love the color.
I love the look of raw natural wood contrasted with the brick, steel, and glass of this industrial feel kitchen.
This is a nice mid-range wood tone, and the sense of room size is expanded through its use on both cabinets and floors.
This is a nice color and finish on these white oak cabinets.
I like this color combination...Spring green, light turquoise, and natural wood.
Rough hewn natural wood with stone gives a sense of earthy strength in this warm rustic space.
I love these cabinets played off against natural wood and stone. The color and texture could be achieved either with stain or glazing over paint.
The icy pale blue of these cabinets is paired with deep grey on the island, natural wood floors, and a lime wash on the walls and ceiling beams. The steel appliances, stools, and light fixtures provide a quirky industrial edge to the otherwise rustic elegance of this room.
White is always a good choice. Here, it is crisp, well ordered, and slightly formal.
Here's red again coupled with white, light natural wood, and a stone counter on the bar...great combination!
Painted and distressed in a warm ochre color, this island looks like a piece of furniture.
These plain jane flat front plywood cabinets are stained simply in a color that plays well with the multi-hued slate floor and old world pigmented plaster walls. Other wood finishes in the room are painted in subdued complementary shades.
This is a lovely wood tone on these plain front cabinets. I like the glass windowed cabinet room divider...great idea.
Here's a great color on these contemporary slab front cabinets.
This kitchen sings with joyful saturated color on walls and cabinets!
Creamy Banana...I really like the cabinet style and arrangement here as well. The entire effect is one of soft, clean order.
I like the upper lighted cabinets with glassed in doors...very nice...I also like the tile backsplash color and cabinet colors in this kitchen...refreshing.
These white cabinets are pristine and clean. I love the way the pale tile backsplash has been carried all the way up the wall here.
I like the layout, the cabinet color, and the floors.
Clean, white, and bright...I love this look.
subdued but still rich in color...
I like the arched display space above the refrigerator and the glass front drawers.
Wonderful color...and the glass front cabinets really help lighten and expand the space.
What a restful space...
Natural red birch...
See through cabinets...the best of all possible kitchen worlds...
A repurposed armoire as kitchen cabinets...fabulous!
I very much like the bank of ceiling high cabinetry.
I love these fabulous beams contrasted with the soft color on the cabinets.
I just love this soft grey on the cabinetry...
