no tchotchkes, refrain in design, raw materials and fibers, functional... More
I really want to experiment with elegant decay without having to depend on roman architecture for elements or florid southern over-dressing for cadence. I need to move away from too much emphasis on French courtly design themes and suburban furniture arrangements. Heading east past greek-revival and not looking back.
preferred over diamond tufted headboard, cleaner lines, highlights fabric and its texture more.
a full wall tufted headboard is almost obscene
I don't normally like these headboard sculpted up top, but this one is super plush. Another color please.
i want an outdoor shower
quirky color and lacquered wood, yes.
hoping to find one in nola. they don't make apothecary chests to function beyond decor anymore.
White Iron Hooks - $5.95
not fleur de lis, but thats an element i will need the utmost refrain from, holy crap. lol.
Alseda Stool - $29.99
I never get tired of seeing these in rooms or sitting on them.
i love the feel of this room and the pops of off-beat color tones.
colors new orleans style, yes sir.
elegant decay without going for it. i like color, which isn't here...but theres something about the bareness of all the pieces relaying intimacy in ways color can't. the subtlty of texture that your senses are allowed to receive. the arrangement and proportions are soothing without dulling. really well done.
i like more masculine chairs
i like the clean simple lines, the mix of styles (not my own), and the focus of books for texture color and line break.... LIKE READING! lol.
minus some of the more frilly touches, i would like to disappear here for a very long nap for a few years... reclaimed wood is sexy.
i love the casual handling of such a traditionally overstated style of console. the print of the chair is a subtle gesture towards a traditional pairing, but the lacquered chair frame makes it irreverent. simple and well done.
really traditional, but i want to climb in.
i can smell the texture in this photo! i know what all of that feels like, but have never seen it look so effortlessly appealing.
i love the wall color with all of the wood/brown elements. more wood, less brown.
yes, but loose most of the tchotchkes. i love the color/texture juxtopostions. i love the furniture in this room.
i love that print on that bench with a white side table.
im trying to avoid art deco, but this room brushes right up on it rather tastefully.
i hate the arrangement of furniture, and hate making tvs a focus in the room. i like the mix of delicate and more substantial pieces and the truly eclectic range of furniture styles.
i love this room
i like throws a thoughtful layering of fabric for texture, color, and warmth
i need a bit of wall for hanging dried herbs
the butchers cabinet has me thinking about apothecary chests/tables and functionality over decor.
