I just want to sit in that chair and zoom to whichever shelf or drawer I need. This office also has wonderful natural light.
Love the gray wall - it's a great backdrop for all of her inspirations and it's not to precious to tack things to. It works so well with the crisp white chair, desk, and file cabinet, and just in case it gets too dark, she's given it some fun lights.
So many office chairs, like mine, are hideous. Even though it's supposed to be ergonomic, after sitting in it for an hour today, both of my feet fell asleep, so really, there is no trade-off for the ugliness. This chair is so beautiful that it really makes the space. It's like they painted everything around it white just to show it off even more!
All I can think is, "What if I got Sharpie on the Carrera marble? I'd die!" In spite of that, this space is spare, serene and beautiful, and serves as great inspiration.
Ish and Chi have used wonderful lighting to compensate for a lack of natural light here.
While this is not perfect for a 38 year old woman, it's a great spot for a kid to do homework, and I couldn't bring myself to take it out of the ideabook.
As it's styled here, this seems like a spot for sitting around in fluffy stiletto slippers and a gauzy robe, penning love notes with a feathered pin, then spraying them with perfume before putting them in an envelope and sealing them with wax. However, if you add a MacBook and a little bit of reality you can visualize it as a great home office corner.
Everything in Kim Johnson's house is colorful and fun, and her workspace is no exception. Also, I am coveting that stack of Canadian House and Home magazines, but recycling my glossies and trying to keep things online more has been part of the decluttering process.
I need a bigger desk than this, but I love the way Maya and Michael have put so many inspiring images in their workspace.
This one slays me.
This is EXACTLY the workspace/board I need. She manages to hang some of her drafting tools among her inspirational images. Love it.
Love the board, love the green desk accessories, love the cabinet. This looks like a place where I would enjoy spending time.
This has such a passed down through generations Classic Eight library vibe.
Those clear floating shelves camouflage themselves right into the wallpaper-covered wall.
Those wallpaper panels are genius. It's a great idea for inspiration boards, though there is no way I would ever put a thumbtack through that beautiful vintage wallpaper!
So neat - because there is a space to put everything away.
