Love this idea for a basement playroom! Keep the playroom decor simple and paint some cool stripes on the concrete floor. You might want to put some carpet on the walls though to cushion the pucks and/or balls.

An indoor climbing wall - a great idea for kids playrooms provided safety is top of mind and the steps on the wall are securely installed.

I love the idea of built-in storage for kids playrooms and bedrooms. That said you don't have to always build storage into your kids room designs, you can also use great storage furniture pieces and combine them to offer up more than adequate storage for all your kids stuff.

I particularly like the storage benches here on either side of the main storage unit. The cushions add a cozy touch and the books are easily accessible. It's a really good way to encourage a love of reading and to teach young children to put back what they take out.

Whoever said kids play areas need to housed in their own room obviously hasn't seen this practical idea. A dual playroom/guest room is an awesome idea especially in homes that are short on rooms and available space.

The daybed pictured here is the perfect solution for sleepover guests and the wall unit along with the storage baskets keep all your kids stuff neat and tidy when not in use. A win win in my books!

You may not have room for a separate playroom but if you do have a large hallway or stairway what about creating a play space or reading nook there? Here's a great idea that may inspire both decorating ideas and a love of reading in your children.

I love the colors in this casual kids playroom/family room. The color combo is crisp and clean but also cozy and inviting thanks to the addition of plush bean bag chairs.

Here's a great idea for turning extra hallway space into a functional (and colorful) reading nook or quiet play area for kids.
traditional Playroom
Love this colorful kids playroom and how the wall unit offers up lots of storage space. The particular shades of red and green make the play space bright and cheery adding to the fun.
