Circular Reasoning: Add Feng Shui Unity and Harmony to Your Space (5 comments)

In feng shui, circles mean harmony and unity. How can this be applied to decorating? A very straightforward example is using a circular dining room table. It allows better circulation around the room, and brings people together. There is equality at a circular table; no one is at the head, and sharp corners don't divide people.

I'm not trying to get too new age-y here, I'm really just trying to come up with an excuse to showcase some great uses of circle and spheres in design. From wall applications to hanging chairs, gourd lamps to ottomans, conversation pits to hanging plates, I've yet to meet a home decor circle I don't like. It must be that whole harmony thing...

Interesting posting! The circle is such a mystical geometric figure and I am glad to find other designers who love it as much as I do! I am a visionary artist, designer and feng shui consultant, lover of earth and all things sacred.
