I felt that I had to include this because it uses ledgestone and stucco, and the colors and the rooflines are really close to what we're asking for. But this specific house is a little off to me. The wainscoting is different heights and absent on the right, and a little tall for the height of the building. Like the house is wearing mom jeans. Lots of good elements, but a little plain.
The arch openings for the garage doors. The stone, but I would limit it to a wainscot. And the pitch of the roof (that's about what we can do, right?). Also, I don't hate the pavement - I'm thinking we are going to have to find creative ways to use pavers sparingly - we got a lot of driveway to cover.
Wow. We joke about putting a big R upon at the entrance, but wow. They actually did it. Humble folk must live here.
A totally different color palette… Possible.
Another color palette possibility. But not a tan body. Leaning towards light gray.

I like the color of this door and the dark hardware goes very well.
This is our front door - lovely
Color palette
Color Palette - but I would go with a darker door.
I know this is the fear: big butter house. But even if we chose this body color, 1) we have a lot more stone, and 2) with dry stacking, there will be more shadow and relief to the appearance of that stone, and 3) we have lot less stucco, our stone:stucco is greater, and 4) we'll have a darker roof to add more contrast, and 4) we have a lot more rich wood in the entry and the garage doors.
Color Palette - Going with an gray-white body on a single story home with a dark roof and rich red-brown doors would be close to this mood.
Color Palette - But with a darker roof. The exterior stone is called cultured stone echo ridge country ledgestone. The exterior paint package consist of ; BODY: SW # 7067 Cityscape , SHAKE: SW # 2848 Roycroft Pewter, TRIM: SW # 6385 Dover White , ACCENT: SW # 7580 Carnelian. (SW= sherwin williams)
Color Palette - Dark house colors, but very rich looking. Also, asymmetrical entry like ours.
Love the rocks!
Too easy. Even with dark brown or red doors, this would be so washed out.
Love the brown door against the gray stone. It actually works for me.
Really like the colors. The shape of the house is a little weird, tho.
Color palette: blue gray with rich brown.
dreamy
Same dreamy house - love the color.
I want something that just camouflages the trash cans, but doesn't seal them up. It has to breath or else it'll be an even worse chore in the summer.
Garden box!
Exterior Palette - light gray
Palette. Warm stone and gray body. Not exactly our colors. Wasn't the easy choice (warm beige body would have been the default), but it works okay.
I love the dark gray, but this is exactly the look I DON'T want - where the stone is so much lighter than the body.
Here is a medium gray - also lovely - but too close in tone to the average color of the stone. It looks too boring, almost monotone.
The only color that will make our stone look darker is a butter yellow, like this.
Supposedly Montecito Cliffstone
Palette: The stucco has an integral color to it. The color is Lunar #FS64 FT-Tone (Fine Texture). The cast stone is buff. The exterior trim paint is Sherwinn Williams #SW3524 Chestnut.
Palette. Probably to dark for our stone.
Palette
Going blue for the shutters and trim (instead of green)
Palette
Nice garage doors. And our wainscot will be the same.
Lighting Idea - for front entry

stone arch
this is what we don't want. Too obviously veneer.
stone arch
lintel!
The arches. The pavers. The white trim. The drive/circle between the house and the garage. The general feel of the outdoor space - open but private. We like the steps up to the front door. We do not like the pergola, the garage door style, or the excessive use of columns. We don't necessarily want a front porch, but this is pretty understated and would be okay.
