It's November, and new calendars from some of my favorite artists and graphic designers are rolling off the presses. I don't know about you, but I can never limit myself to just one. I "need" one for the kitchen, beside my desk, in the entryway — pretty soon I end up with a stack of extra calendars without a home! That's okay though, because beautiful art calendars make perfect last-minute gifts, so I always keep a few stashed away for gift exchanges and stuffing stockings. Here are 20 of my favorites. I have been a fan of INK+WIT founder Tara Hogan for a number of years now, and the new 2012 letterpress calendar is definitely going on my wishlist! Called "Into the Calm," it features gorgeous soft shades of gray punched up with mustard-y yellow. The bonus is that you can trim it and frame each page as an art print when the year is done.
