Beautiful (Tones; Style). I keep falling back on this "happy" design style which combines the old La Jolla homes with the current day colors/lighting and casual lifestyle
I like beams on the ceilings, even if they're the same white as ceiling. lights are yuck. Chris: Works for me, especially of the furniture is included (love it).
like it all over again. Chris: I can like an eclectic style like this as long as it's not over-decorated. Too much brick-a-brack crap to collect dust and I'm a no-go.
i like the playfulness of the backsplash. could work if it's attached to the family room area. Chris: That playful backsplash will artfully hide all the splattered tomato sauce from my cooking.
the more i see the white kitchen, the less enamored with it I am. i think it's excellent for a smaller house, giving it an elegant beachhouse feel. may need to trend toward light kitchen depending on how dark cabinets change feeling of size. Chris: My shift key works. So you are down on the white kitchen thing (see previous comment).
The more I see the hanging sliding door, the more I like a pocket door. This door is too distracting. If the door is the feature of the room, fine. But I'd rather have the structure, the art, or the people be the feature. Chris: concur.
This is terrible. Work triangle sucks and dining room is right there w/ the noise, cleanup, etc. Ugh. But finishings are lovely, though wood seems to be the wrong color. Chris: concur on all points.
when i see it from afar, the kitchen seems a bit boring. maybe that's the point. elegant, but like a dinner plate - let the decor and bright flowers do the talking. but makes me hesitate
this more frenchy and palm springsy for us, but the eclecticness of it is great. Chris: A few too many "Safari relics" for me but the room is funky. Would happily hang out here in someone else's house.
liking this. less bathroom-like than when done with carrara marble countertops. Chris: I agree -- the white Carrara on white cabinets is a bit too...white.
