Farmhouse hall bath/curb-less shower/tile
Possibilities for our similar-size hall bathroom used primarily by all for showers
Small can work; add half or other wall to contain water, use a rain style or handheld shower to keep water from spraying out as much, ideally need 6' according to this article AROUND the area to keep it from flooding....doubt that anyone can normally do that but it emphasizes splashing around is key to avoid. ALSO install heat lamp overhead and warming towel racks for heated comfort!
narrower tile border for smaller bathroom works for me. We have found one to work with a surround tile as well.
glass, curbless shower, window in it!, lol, but pretty; clear glass(we chose a Bubble Glass pattern, floor to almost ceiling) panel, leaving 2' for entrance at dry end;we will not have a door
curb-less shower w/ glass door,(do not need), and small panel to wall's edge; drain elongated along back! Must see for design and also for larger tile option of perhaps 8" squares, rather than our present wall size. It depends a lot on sourcing the tile.
curb-less shower and explains how built with drain along back wall so it does not disturb tile design. I have space for four wall inserts for holding things; like the style but w/ trays inside for sure.
Simplicity of the tile around shower surround in a single row a few inches deep; notice insert shelf, again, we'll put it away from same wall as shower-head.
LOVE idea of tile row also wrapping outside of shower area into toilet and our vanity area as well; this is a question mark! It's a curb-less shower but we decided on a panel and open entry into area, about 2' wide.
another choice for drain, besides Proline; we are fortunate our drain at present sits at one far end and not in center, so will look into this idea. Convinced by the pros online NOT to ever use a pan-style floor!
window!(and has Carl's "like" for surround). Nancy likes the off-white but has found a gorgeous one! Need sizes of all tiles!!
Tile alternative: used neutral like the present floor tile mocha, for large squares in shower, and then added a border several inches wide with white and color; position of insert for shampoos, etc., should be away from and not under shower head, this isn't bad, but I prefer rectangular ones.
White tile surround with a double simple border to bring in our colors. :) Could be a single line for ours'. Is it hand-grouted in? ***We need measurements of window as it is being put in, and linear feet both inside shower as planned, and all walls.
White tile surround only but with colors in pebble floor; found larger, smoother river rocks and more neutral to white through Houzz, and Subway Tile Outlet, "Polished Natural Mix" is a "go" (it is lighter than looks here).
grab bar but in chrome, on an angle nicer but we want it on entrance area
Our existing bath floor w/ smaller tile remains; all else going. This color of border to use in tub surround border w/ other colors. We want to keep this floor! It makes sense w/idea of a border w/ colors and the commode is white, sink is as well ***Measurements needed for each type of the two tiles.
Travertine marble use is nice; colors to blend w/ pre-existing tile; built-in shelf size is perfect for our needs.
Curb less shower
window, use of color contrasting and in splash back as well as through shower, which we also want to do
Example of glass-cube windows inside a shower; remove old window, insert these as panel piece ? and also can create top 1/3 or so in clear not opaque.
I would use the niches away from the shower-end of area, but like style because it is versatile to height of bottles. Also this is good example of how to use a non-white tile and trim w/ mixed neutrals and color within the walk-in shower, keeping the now white tile floor hard to match.
EXAMPLE of converting this style tub/shower to a curbless shower- see next photo....
EXAMPLE - the "after" photo of the tub conversion to a curbless shower (not looking at the wall type, door, or fold down seat, etc., just an example of use of space from old-style tub/shower insert)
seamless, no door, sunny, and mirrors are great...tile, as well
love the corner idea, and the tile! Like the insert spots for shampoo, the marble bend is a bit over-kill but could be ideal for someone who is handicapped or in a wheel chair!
no door working great!
Curbless shower, grey, window, smooth grey stone floor in shower
It’s not the floor material though it’s interesting but the photo shot from above is an unusual perspective! This is what the vibe is when have an open shower without tub idea and can even be in a small bathroom.
