Houzz is the new way to design your home.
Like the gray/white, especially like the geometric fabric on the stool, b&w end table, and the dark 4 poster wood unlike the white furniture elsewhere. Then that touch of milk chocolate textured rug. Floor too dark for my taste, but it is pretty.
Was wondering if I could use two widths of beadboard together. Looks fine to me. And that is a rustic pocket door or barn style door. GREAT space saver. Seems the photo taken from inside a bathroom. Unusual to display cameras in such a humid environment, but I gues B&W is the theme. Really nice.
The high and sleek barn door!
The shed-roof bumpout and skylight add a sunroom feel to this space. I like the way they've seamed together the beginning of the shed with a beam. Plus another alcove for the chests with shelving flanking the TV.
That Picasso print next to the fireplace is framed in a different fashion.
Where we are making a tub alcove/bumpout, I'm adding a tall tower made of shutters to left and right of tub. And in the closet bumpout I had clerestory windows added, with some frosted glass french doors to the closet for more light into the bedroom.
The frosted glass is perfect to allow light transmission. I could use this on my closet which has clerestory windows in it, so there would be privacy but natural light in the bedroom.
Love this shaggy spread. A maltese does not shed, and would be lost in all that white. My short hair dachshund is black and she sheds. Sigh. I have a sheepskin put away.
Now THIS is what I want in front of my clawfoot tub!!!
Screens or shutters both useful . Like the symmetry of the lamp light reflections.
I know I have this one in my favs already. what a room!
Wallhanging headboard very good idea.
The feel of being just out of reach of other people is enhanced with the shutters on the windows, which can be turned ever so slightly. Then there is more feel of window space with the stained glass look. Paint that look on the back side of Lexan to keep it unbreakable.
I like this, a sophisticated Marlboro man tobacco brown wall, and then the cowhide rug. I like the crystal lamps very tall at each bedside table, nailheads on the headboard. White leather chair appears to be maybe a Barcelona style? Really really like this room.
Now THIS is the way to have your space and guests too. I won't have to choose between a study and a guest bed.
Sweet sweet little doggy bed!!! And great headboard for the big bed.
I enjoy the white and sepia tones used throughout the house, from the DaVinci book prints in the entry to the animal skin on top of the seagrass in the bedroom. I could be totally at home in this house.
Coral on coral....the pattern is coral, so is the paint and pattern. Love the floating shelves with lights.
Like the gray walls/shaggy rug, the trundle bed, roman shade. The book shelves are okay, and I like a window seat. HOWEVER, the seat is too shallow to provide comfortable seating. It is only a nod to window seating. If room for a seat with depth, think more storage would be possible.
Very restful bedroom. I will have two bolsters though.
Multiple bunks stacked into one bedroom. Very well organized.
Bed in a nook, shelves each end, then to top it off, a loft as well. I also like board/batten walls. Color but not overwhelming.
This is like sleeping on a glacier, or in Superman's hideout.
Wow. Gorgeous in every way.
Wow. Gorgeous in every way.
She shops at IKEA, naturally I like THAT.
sleeping alcoves and windows and storage.
Now there are my colors. Creamy white, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and that is a grayed wall and ceiling paint. Sort of chestnut floor, but I'd prefer a light wood floor. Roman shade will give blackout sleeping. Fan is functional I guess, but it draws too much attention to itself.
Ladder, high storage, bumpout daybed w/storage head and foot. Also, sheepskin rug on hardwood floor.
The books behind the headboard, a great way to actually make low-access storage space back there with real books and shelving. It was in my mind to do this in our master suite because our books take up so much space in the study. It will reshape the bedroom proportions, and not a problem with that.
Have the perfect door for our bedroom to hang as a barn door. They require no "door stops" so opening is the full dimension.
Barn Door Hardware is the place to go
The grillwork for ventilating a closet space, like our bedroom addition with a storage area at the end of the room. Perfect to display, have dead air space up high, then bifold louvers at the bottom. Hide stuff behind this...even a closet or files.
softness of the hanging semi sheer bed curtains. drama and intimacy combined. dreamy print bed linens. soft banana cream color is my favorite color of all time
Stay Chaise/Sofa Bed, Violet Felt - GBP 1,095
The chaise can be used in the study, which means it can be a guest room too. Not hot pink though.
The LIGHT...and te wide curtain rods which are the boldest color in the room. Everything else is so cozy.. Love the wall color, the plush bed linens. This is a comfortable space.
The wallpaper gives texture like fuzz or fur to this wall. I see it as the strongest element in the room.
Trying to decide, is that a barn door with a lopped ear or not. like the aged textural feel here, but the door mounting makes the space.
the great and old louvered door reminds me of my cypress door I plan to mount barn door fashion for bedroom
Like the beadboard all way to the windows, the long sill is a shelf. Like the old panels as a headboard, like the linen cover over the sheets, and the reused old fabric for pillow covers. Wicker across the footof the bed with mattress ticking reminds me of my childhood.
love the heavy old wood shelves, my choice for wall to wall shelving behind our headboard.

The low stools would look great at the foot of our bed, and serve as a step up for the dachshunds. I was already planning wall to wall book shelving behind the head of the bed. But no ladder.
Snuggle Bed - Faux Fur/Cotton Canvas - Husky Gray - L - $75
Dachshunds would love this. Need a large though.
