Houzz is the new way to design your home.
color & canvas
openness and shade
openness and intimacy
openness and moveable canvas
canvas treatment and openness
intimacy of a room off the house. openness
awning comes directly off the house, no columns.
combination of permanent structure, canvas and retractable awning...very clever
use of canvas
I like the rustic look but the architecture is too heavy
use of canvas will this be a sail in the wind?
I like the idea of a pitched roof but architecture is too heavy
this can work but columns too heavy
cleaver idea with the awning curving out past the cross beam
I like the idea of a higher ceiling 9 to 10'
Higher ceiling and mounted off the house.
This concept can work with higher ceilings and retractable canvas with 80 to 100% sun blockage. Can also be green as used in nurserys
openness.... try this with a pitched roof and canvas for max shade
very interesting... Work with canvas and wind consideration....
I like this concept for over the garage
I like this approach. The patio needs to be wider, roof pitch a little flatter, and support columns a little smaller...mounting posts on the retaining wall... Could be built up members of 4x4's with 2x6's or 8's Also stringers can project past the cross column line... somewhat of a Polynesian look
this is not quite it
I like this beam and post architecture
use of built up columns and projecting joists
I like the high ceilings
right idea too simple
I do like the idea of curved members
this could work
ok but formal columns a little too much..
starting to get my attention with curved joists
maybe but not quite
I like the column details, corbles and the braces that extend the roof
I like the feeling of a larger space outside under awning
these details can work
this concept almost works
I like how the roof curves
interesting but architecture too heavy
K brace does not support the roof joists... what's with that. idea... What if the roof joists were curved?
I like columns end cap and bottom treatment could use a little more detail like a router line. It almost looks like it on nearest columns. I like the over extending joists
This awning shade treatment and openness of the area can work for me
K brace look is appealing
something like this might work
this is a real K brace
Overhang concept is appeaning
No.... not airy enough
Higher pitch coming directly off the house may work
too heavy too much
too simple too junky
