The Round Bed: Throw Your Sanctuary a Curve

As we all know, beds come in several sizes. We may contemplate a king for the master suite or twin bunk beds for the kids. But here’s one bed that falls out of the typical consideration: the round bed. I have to admit, I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. Will my legs shoot off the edge? How in the world do I find linens to fit? Not to mention the round bed’s illustrious past: Hugh Hefner had one that rotated, and Elvis had a round bed covered in white fur. All things considered, I’m not completely sold on the round bed — but would you make the purchase?
Maximize the circular theme with complementary mirrors or accessories. Get the '70s vibe going with retro linens (I still have no idea where you find these linens).

| I’ll admit, a round bed does make an interesting complement to the typical square or rectangular room, not unlike choosing a round dining table. The round bed in this example definitely works to complete the contemporary aura of this space. Arranging it on a circular rug gives the bed a sense of place, and the wall’s tree montage creates a forest escape. |
