Take an eco-friendly approach with an evergreen garland. You can find natural garlands at Christmas tree farms and stands — or make your own in a weekend. Gather evergreen trimmings from your yard and wrap long bunches with wire or twine, overlapping them to create long strings of pine, cedar or fir. String them along your mantle or banister.
