Decorate With Winter Berries
Gather up branches with bright-red berries for instant holiday color
Legendary interior decorator Billy Baldwin once said that every room should have a little red in it. This is especially true during the holiday season. A great way to add this celebratory color is by incorporating winter berries into your decor. It's an organic, natural choice that allows one to bring the outside in. And it feels utterly seasonal, without an ounce of holiday cheesiness.
If you're lucky, putting berries around your house involves going outside and doing some pruning from your garden. But if you live in an urban place, never fear: local flower shops always bring in live branches of berries this time of year. Obviously, live berries look (and feel) best, but fake berry branches are surprisingly effective as well.
