Part of the fun of being in the kitchen is getting to play around with food. My kids have trouble waiting until they're older to be part of the fun — they love pretending to cook, as well as actually helping with food preparation. This set of gifts is designed with something in mind for kids of all skill levels in the kitchen. I know kids like these toys, but secretly, I buy them as much for myself as I do for them. This may not be made for kids, but when my daughter does start doing some real sauteing (with supervision, of course), it's going to be in an electric fry pan. It's not a cooking vessel of choice for myself, but it has sturdy legs, so is less likely to tip over or scoot around off a stove top when she is stirring.

Casart Coverings You'd be surprised what culinary skills you can learn and perfect using an electric fry pan. When I was a bride, we needed a new stove and couldn't afford one right away. What I relied on most was an electric fry pan. Now, 50 yrs. later and widowed, that's looking mighty attractive again. That 11 inch one would be great for singles living in small spaces with tight kitchens.
