This man is dangerous. He installed his wood trim to posts to our front home, removing the gutter drainpipes in the process, breaking the downspout and tearing off the straps. Then he would not accept any responsibility for the damage, stating "Well I painted your drainpipes for free" When we said that we would get the drainpipes fixed and deduct from what we owed him at the time (so all our effort) he became threatening and said that he would put a mechanics lien on the property so we could not sell the home (it was up for sale at the time). He belittled and berated my wife and our real estate company while trying to get his way. Very unpleasant.

I really really tried to give Doug the benefit of the doubt when my order of 3 sets of gates took 4 months to complete. They arrived looking good. Problem is that they were non-functional due to incorrect widths, handles with no latches and missing cane bolts. I spent a lot of extra money to get them to work. Please be wary.

Ordered 2 pair shutters. Had a number of communication issues. After a drawn out process we got them completed. We were further disappointed that the shutters were shipped to a warehouse 45 mins away from our home and we had to make arrangements to pick them up. Love the shutters though -- these guys really are artistically talented.

We contacted da Vinci to make three gates because the gates he posted online looked sturdy and the design we wanted. Initial contact with Doug was professional, and he said it would take 2 weeks to make the 3 gates. It took 8 weeks. When gates arrived in Texas, from Utah, they were damaged due to poor packaging. When the gates were to be installed by our local person, all 3 gates were the wrong measurement. Not only did they not fit our openings, but the gates were only operable from one side. We had to get local person to remake/refit the gates. We were not reimbursed by Doug for the extra work it took to make the gates fit our openings and latched on both sides and damages repaired. Doug made it sound as if he would reimburse us for all the work that had to be done after they arrived at our house. Our experience with daVinci Designs was not a positive one and I would not recommend him to anyone. In my opinion, I wouldn’t do business with someone who doesn’t communicate nor stands behind his work he claims to be top quality.

There are the best. A magician with color and stain. Do not hesitate to use them. The shutters have been on now for 2 years and look like the day the went on! The are heavy and solid. One of the best experiences I had in dealing with numerous people when I built the home. Very professional and responsive.

Doug is a tremendously talented designer/builder. His fine arts background and experience visiting and painting around Europe provide a layer of talent seldom found in the contracting business. He is pleasant and responsive and very fair in his dealings. I dealt with him across country and will do so again when the opportunity arises.

i hired Davinci to see my vision on a couple of projects. He was very good at listening and fulfilling those visions. He built a huge barn door on pulleys with a full length mirror for my master bath He also painted a mural in my wine cellar of an old Italian home. He also took an existing alder door and made it into a beautiful rod iron door as my entry door to the wine cellar Doug is very kind a wonderful at his craft

I highly recommend this company. They were so professional, on time and do awesome work. My shutters look better than I even expected. I have had several people already stop by and take pictures of them. They added a great deal to the house.

We did a complete renovation of our house. Of all the decisions you have to make in doing so, choosing da Vinci was the best I made. We could not be more pleased with our shutters. They are spectacularly the best-looking in the neighborhood, by far. The quality exceeded expectations! They are gorgeous and phenomenal quality! Ordering such a thing from a company online, concerned me, but these people communicated better with is than some we dealt with face to face. I cannot overemphasize how incredibly kind and accommodating they were. I was extremely impressed and have recommended them to everyone and will continue to! They are terrific!!!

Words cannot express the awesome job Da Vinci did at our home in N.Y. His attention to detail blows the mind. Truly a pleasure to deal with. Very honest and sincere. A true artist to say the least. I highly recommend them. Thank you

da Vinci Details were very great to work with. We had some existing straps for some shutters and they took one and made the exact same design and they turned out beautiful!

We have had da Vinci Details do custom work in two of our homes. They have painted the garage doors, faux painted the entryway, custom plastered and painted the master bedroom, and built custom inside shutters for the master suite. Everything da Vinci Details does is custom and a beautiful masterpiece. I would highly recommend them.
