For the past 30 years, and as recently as December 2016, Ms. Cummings at Indigo has provided valuable services for Japanese furniture, custom consoles, upholstered sofas and chairs, carpets, shoji screens, matchstick blinds, art work, textiles, baskets, pillows and jewelry. The work was done professionally, delivered on time and at the estimated cost. It is always a pleasure to visit Indigo and to experience the tasteful and changing showrooms. I have worked with Genny for over three years in decorating various parts of an existing home, an addition to the home, and adding furniture and specially designed cushions for the outside garden and patio. She makes excellent suggestions, she listens well, and she is very attentive to schedules, prices, and vendors. Our working relationship has been excellent, and I recommend her without any hesitation.

I have hired Indigo Interiors to help with various decorating projects over the past 10 years. They are wonderful to work with and have many catalogs, fabric samples, furniture items and accessories in their store to peruse. I am very thankful they have had their store in Santa Barbara all these many years.

Shortly after we moved to Santa Barbara from out of state, we hired Gennie to help us decorate the house. She recommended a colour scheme and fabrics, contracted with an upholsterer, and designed window treatments. We also purchased some furniture, lamps, and artwork from Indigo to complete the design. My only regret is that we did not follow all of Gennie's suggestions.

We have worked with Indigo over 20 years and have been very pleased with their service and products. Many of the pieces Genny helped us with are still our favorites. She has wonderful resources and high quality furnishings. We especially love our dining room table!

i have shopped at Indigo since moving to Santa Barbara over 17 years ago. They are my "go to" for any design help or merchandize. My NY friends have fallen in love with Genny and go straight there when visiting me. My husband delights in telling people that his house is 100% designed by Genny at Indigo. No higher compliment. My work is ongoing as there is always something at the store that catches my eye.

I have been working with Genny Cummings for many years and, since we have moved frequently, 6 homes in Montecito and Summerland. I have found her design taste in all styles to be exquisite without being fussy. She has done floor and window coverings, custom furniture of all types, bedding, and unique accessories. Most importantly, she has been able to tolerate and work with my taste in each home, helping to create a beautiful and calm environment. She and her husband Tom have created a very special retail store in Santa Barbara with "Indigo", and a visit there is always a special treat! Our 6 projects kept us busy from 1999 until 2015.

My husband and I have done our two homes--Malibu, California, and Bozeman, Montana--with Indigo and Genny Cummings. On the Malibu project the house was taken down to the studs and Genny worked for a year as part of the team--architect, contractor, landscape architect, and Genny--the interior designer. We have been totally pleased with Genny's thoughtful solutions, and on time delivery. Besides, she's fun to work with.

Genny Cummings was recommended to me by a friend whose home I greatly admired. I had been changing my living room and dining area for about 5 years and could never seem to get it right. I asked Genny to come in for a consultation; she walked in the house, turned a piece of furniture in a direction I had never even considered and immediately the place looked ten times better! I was ready to trash the entire living room but Genny pointed out that several of the pieces I had had for years would fit in very nicely with a few new pieces. Of course I hired her on the spot. We discussed colors, talked about what needed to be changed, what could be retained and worked together for two to three months selecting pieces and fabrics that brought everything together. I am finally extremely happy with the way my home looks and take pleasure in it every time I walk into the living/dining area. Without hesitation I would hire Genny for any other project I have and recommend her highly - for her excellent taste, good advise and professionalism.

I have used Indigo Interiors to provide design advice over the last 15 years, and I always find Genny and Tom to be exceptionally helpful. They are very knowledgeable, have an intuitive understanding of what fits your environment best, are always on-time and highly responsive to your requests and questions. And patient. Plus they are just plain fun to work with. In addition, to design advice, I have also purchased a variety of items from them ranging from furniture to lamps to accessories. Their merchandise is very high quality and is unique and original. And, you can't beat Genny's design sense and exquisite taste in materials and furnishings. Sophisticated, yet warm. Individual, fun, stylish, but never trendy.
