Design of stairs. Raw unfinished wood.
Choose something out of the ordinary for the actual stairs. At the end of the day, the stairs are simply horizontal planks that can be made from a variety of materials. These wood blocks are a great rustic complement to this modern home.
Consider the shape and strength of the materials and think creatively about where they can be incorporated – here beams were used to build a flight of stairs, but you could also build simple shelving fixtures. Integrating raw materials into your home creates a modern rustic look with strong lines and sharp

We are in the stair runner business and find that many of our customers say that wooden stairs are slippery and choose to add a runner to their staircase, often after a family member has fallen. Just as often, we have customers who need a runner because their dog cannot navigate the stairs, has fallen

Love this idea for a graded backyard. Clean & tidy.
Trees and shrubs. It's generally a good idea to plant these larger landscape plants in the cooler months, but you can plant them now if you take a little extra care. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball of the plant, then add a little bonemeal or rock phosphate to the hole. (Follow the package

We are gutting our house and plan on doing the same thing under the stairs but I'm worried it will feel very tight. As we want the door to be flushed against the stairs. Thank You!

murals, decals and memorabilia, try something like this under-the-stairway niche — a nicer, more spacious version of the Dursleys' cupboard under the stairs in the Harry Potter series. Do the drawers affect the stability of the stairs?
the same feeling from this that I do from the idea of the door with the bookshelf built in on one side.... Sounds and looks cool, but in reality??? In my house the books would be flying when my kids slammed the door and I would be at the bottom of the stairs at 2am yelling: " I've fallen and I can't get
Can you get these stairs in the uk?
It seems to me that, with the proper framing, stability shouldn't be any different than with open-back stairs that we see everywhere. These strike me as open-back stairs with drawers underneath, if that makes sense. (I'm probably using the wrong terminology.)
