experiment on paper before anything going on the wall. If you wanted to hang artwork (I rarely do this behind a door), I'd suggest a single, large impactful piece vs. small pieces.

tiles are easier to keep clean than glass. Love the mosiac tiles on shower, but a bit too much when used on walls as well. It would have had more impact to use them just on the shower and it would have made it the feature of the bathroom.
