what stone did you use on the floor, counters and shower? I love, love, love your style!!!
Absolutely stunning. We are thinking of using large format tiles on our walk-in shower floor. Our tile installer has cautioned against it because it's harder
Hello, I think the floating marble bench looks absolutely stunning. We are looking to have a floating bench installed in our (soon to be) new shower stall. Was just hoping you would be able to shed some light as to how this was constructed and installed. Thank you, David

now working in the LR. We have chosen hemlock engineered boards for the floor. The room is quite narrow. Would installing these boards side ways make this room look wider? Thanks
are the floors satin, or semi-gloss?
Type of wood used on floor?
Hi Ben, I am new here at Houzz so forgive me if I break any question asking rules. We own a Brownstone in Clinton Hill. My question is. What exactly is involved in removing the (supposed load bearing) walls on both the parlor and garden floors. My next question is
what kind of wood floors are those?
In a narrow room such as this should the floor boards go lengthwise?
for floor installation, which is to install floor planks perpendicular to the direction of the floor joists. Installing perpendicular to joists maximizes the strength and rigidity of your floor. Aesthetics are always important but in most situations the structural component of floor installation is

The floor is hardwood or laminate?
Is the floor hardwood or floating engineered?
Do the lights over the counter cause weird shadows on the ceiling? We just installed the Hundi semi-flush mount in the center of our kitchen and found the shadows to be sort of harsh. Do the recessed lights help with that?
Hi Ed, This hardwood floor is 3 1/2 solid White Oak. It came with the house and we refinished it in a warm Chestnut stain. We opted to keep these floors because they we in good shape and we knew they would finish up beautifully. The homeowners previous residence had engineered wood floors that didn't
I currently have Bruce Hardwood floors(pre-finished); they are real wood, not laminate. Do they finish up o.k.?

could you tell me the height of the ceiling and how tall the cabinets are? I'd like to know as I have 8 ft ceiling in my kitchen and I'd like to install similar similar pendants in my island. Thanks
hung up on the kitchen. I was planning on all white cabinetry, carrera marble on the island and honed black around the perimeter. (And, I’m narrowing down from three possible backsplashes! Eeek!) Now, I'm considering a gray island – and searched some pictures and came across this one. I love the color
when there is a sink. In this photo it looks like the pendants are directly over 1/3 of the island. I've seen some islands where the pendants are right down the middle. Is there a rule of thumb.

What type of stain treatment is on the beams? What type of flooring is this?
Were the floors stained? If so, what kind of stain was used? Also, is the finish a poly finish, or penetrating oil? Thanks.
The flooring is mill grade reclaimed Douglas Fir, random lengths and widths.

Plutôt que d’installer de grandes fenêtres, Eric Logan et son équipe ont préféré en placer de plus petites, mais à des endroits stratégiques pour profiter au mieux du paysage
