Stone Cottage
The roof of the Cottage is natural slate with copper flashings.
This is a very small cottage, only about 500 s.f. It is a guest house and jewelry studio.
would go for it full throttle! I have a very limited budget but ideally (and perhaps unrealistic) I'd like to build a 600-800 sq ft. version of this cottage that is solid and comfortable without the high priced extras. Just a little place where my cat and dog and I can sit by the fire and live a down to

I love this log cabin cottage!!!!!
2001, it still retains its historic flavor. In building the new cottage, the owners were eager to do justice to both the property and the original building. By sinking the new structure into the hillside, they both diminished the cottage's presence on the site and preserved views from the main house above

What is the square footage of this cottage please?
Not sure I would feel quite safe sleeping in a space designed by a person who did not understand the question! LOL
Love the idea as a Getway place
two different roof designs... like the screened in porch
Cottage, painted a deep red, melts into the woods. The screen porch looks like the primary living space.

NO, DO NOT USE TONGUE AND GROOVE. The idea is that we are seeing the unfinished walls and ceiling boards. The idea for the ceiling came after I crawled in the ceilng and the finished ceiling tries to look like the actual roof structure

Not a question, but gave me an excellent idea for a green house.
Where is this cottage located? It looks like the ones that were built
Could be! Just refurbished on the outside to make it feel like a little cottage :)
This cottage is available on the website zoecottages.com. A kit is $9k and a more finished cottage is sold there for $15k. This is my dream "tiny house" home. Even the kit price is out of my price range right now but
