Would this beautiful kitchen work with old maple (yellow hued) floors?
I am remodeling my kitchen and want a look similar to this, but currently have vintage natural maple floors (with a yellow hue). Would the floor look OK with this design? If not, would it be OK to change the floor even

Sunnyeggs: I was the designer on this project. There was a very old utility sink in the opposite corner from this laundry area. We remodeled that in to a full bathroom and eliminated the laundry sink. You can see that in the other photos for this project.

love the old fashioned cooker and hood, are they both vintage?
Antique lights are hard to find. E-bay is terrible for antique lighting except in the industrial style. Individual internet stores seem to be the best place to find these items. These lights were found by Sally Ward who did the interiors. http://www.sallywa
This is a custom wood window from Sebastopol Window. I salvaged glass from old windows to get the wavy glass effect. Single glaze custom wood windows with 7/8" muntin profiles look better than anything for period effect.

Is the rod holding the shower curtain oval? I am looking to remodel bathroom in rustic theme. Absolutely love this!
Hi Karen. The interior width of the barrel is just over 2 feet. The bathroom itself is 2' 6" wide &
A true testimony of imagination and inventiveness! Would be great for an outdoor shower near the pool in the Hacienda.
Rustic, charming and certainly not for everyone, this may be the most creative reuse of a wine barrel we’ve ever seen. The homeowners must wipe out the interior of the barrel after each shower to keep the unsealed wood in good shape, but it’s worth the effort for its scale and unique good looks.
The shower is an old oak wine barrel, sawed in half. After each shower, they carefully rinse it out with fresh water and remove any extra water with a sponge to keep the unsealed wood in good condition. The tiny house gets its water supply from a custom 38-gallon steel water tank. An electric water heater

This looks like my bathroom. I was thinking about remodeling but love the look. Where can we get the floor tile, medicne chest and lights?

How to make old bathrooms look better
CONSIDER THIS WHEN PLANNING YOUR BATHROOM REMODEL 2. Hiding the plumbing — or not. Think carefully about fixtures and all the stuff that's connected to them as you lay out the plumbing, electrical
8. Can you incorporate existing tile, fixtures and finishes? The demolition and remodeling of bathrooms is one of the larger expenses of a remodel, so it's often best to salvage whatever you can if money is an issue.
