Stone Interiors, Inc) would recommend sometype of support structure be built off the cabinetry that could be hidden by the Valance. Basiclly you could use 2x4 to create the structure and then do cross -memebers to connect everything together. Granite is extremely strong in compression, but not so
finished interior of the guest house. Sorry about that!
I have attached a construction photo of the main house, which has a very interesting roof. The roof changes pitch at either end, creating a warped plane. It is very dramatic on the interior!
