What was the carpet chosen for the runner on the stairs? Great look and love the wood floors!
Thank you for your interest in our project! The entry hallway is approximately 10'-0" wide at its widest point. The width of the stairs is 4'-0." The blue butler's pantry is 9'-0" x 15'-6."
Very clever observation! Yes, there is in fact a landing at the top of the stairs with a cozy reading nook. Here is a picture of that space.

You are correct, the stairs are roughly 4 feet and the hall roughly 6 feet.

the pennisetum is a phygelius and below that are the David Austin hybrid roses. On the opposite side , starting next to the lawn and moving up the stairs is the blue blooming Nepeta, then the silvery lavender. Above that is a mass of salvia leucantha and echium fastuosum, Growing out from that mass
