cabinets, incorporating appliances and a multitude of functional storage. Designed cabinets to blend into the space. By removing all existing surrounding walls and landing step a larger footprint was designed to house an oversize island with different heights for each cooks’ comfort, thus being able to
to pass through easily, giving a traffic flow space between 42” to 60”. The Island was designed for better entertainment, prep work and plenty of storage but taking into consideration to NOT over dominate the space and obtrude the line of site. The use of warm tone materials such as natural walnut is
less bending and heavy lifting. Under mount LED strip lighting at lunch counter and Niche area, Enhances the area and gives a floating appearance. Wine service area for easy entertaining, and self service. Concealed vent system at cook top, is not only practical but enhances the clean line design concept

Where can I purchase the beautiful wine holder? I need one (-: Thanks
What do you like about this photo?wine storage
Could be fitted in the space between studs in the wall. A recessed wine shelf.
Recessed niche between studs for wine storage
banquette. These X-shelves take up minimal space. The table can hold wine-tasting glasses when it's not being used for dining.
Here is another ingenious use of stud space. The way the bottles are recessed into the wall prevents the wine from getting direct light.
did you actually make that for the wine? if so how did you do it?
Wouldn't a wine rack above a fridge always be a bit warm & not ideal for wine storage?
too hot for wine storage. Unless it's mulled. ;) i prefer to add slats/dividers and keep trays and cookie sheets up there.
I agree with molliemartian. While attractive, this is a very undesirable place to store wine. Heat rises so upper cabinet storage of temperature sensitive wine is a bad idea
Unfortunately this was an extremely tight kitchen in a DC rowhome built in the 1800s and this was the only space available for the wine. With today's modern refrigerators, we find they don't produce
idea. Throw in the heat generating fridge below that and you have a double dose of wine killing temps. No matter the storage issues, wine storage in this area is not a good idea.

wine rack over fridge with cabinet door storage to one side?
Like the custom wine rack over refrigerator.
Kitchen - Wine Storage above Fridge
A custom wine rack above the refrigerator is a spin-off on the open shelving idea, and the gridlike pattern adds interest to the room. Because high temperatures can affect the aging process of wine, this idea works best above modern refrigerators where the coils are on the bottom of the fridge instead

Would window storage damage the wine? It looks nice, but it's no good if it ruins my collection.
safe, dark/dry place, saving the wine from light degradation- and keeps the corks wet! [We have a display program set in place for businesses who want to display it in their showroom/become a dealer]. http://www.houzz.com/projects/482564/Wine-Logic-----Wine-Storage-Solutions
Another wine storage option. Won best in show at the 2013 KBIS show. Wine Logic. It is made to be installed into an existing base cabinet (but doesn't have to be). Made in the USA, solid maple, full extension glides. Can store up to 30 bottles in a 18" x 18" space
That wine rack actually leads to another room, and does not get direct sunlight. This bar is also in a public space, so they go through wine faster than a residential client.
