Our DevOps Engineer will have an opportunity to make a mark in a significant new company by developing new tools for scalability, availability, security, improve efficiency and redundancy, and monitoring for our production infrastructure and services.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop solid, reusable code from scratch for tools to run 24/7
- Know and touch every part of the system
- Move lots of data, handle disaster recovery, improve throughput, make storage and caching really fast
- Build and maintain production infrastructure and services
- Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, security and reporting for the infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Help drive the capacity planning process

We are looking for someone to sift through the piles of data to understand key factors in the health of the business and in the performance of new product initiatives and to find compelling stories to be shared with the greater Houzz community.
Position Responsibilities:
- Define key success metrics of the business that track the engagement / growth of the user base
- Analyze and report performance of current and new product initiatives with appropriate statistical techniques
- Find interesting trends in user preferences and work with editorial teams to produce stories for Houzz
