The height depends on the user - we often go up to 36", however keep in mind that not all your guests are tall, so staying at 34" for a guest bath would be sensible...

That's a tough one. It would have to be excuted really well so that it doesn't look like you were trying to make a match, but missed. Keep it subtle and you should do great! Hope this helps!

Keep peninsula and have long narrow island for counter space.
