thick countertop? Has it split at all? How long have you had it? Love!
If your countertop butcher block is 2" thick then you have only 42 sqft. I am building one for my customer (3x6) out of hickory and walnut for less than $1200. I made one out of teak 10 yrs. ago. Teak is 4xs the price of say maple or oak. I will post it later this week.

Beautiful kitchen. We are building a new house and I love the look of these wood floors in a white kitchen. But we're putting in walnut elsewhere on the same floor and I'm worried that the wood will be too soft for all the wear and tear that a kitchen gets. What kind of wood is this? Maybe go for tile instead
