Another design for this could be to not have any storage on the door and instead have some rather clever hinges which allow the doors to slide into the sides so they are out of the way. Must check if anyone has done this already and if so what those might be called.
Agreed--would hate to show the world all my stuff in storage each time I use the microwave!
pantry storage + appliance closet with built in power

A "closet" for small appliances that includes outlets and a little workspace, as well as storage for dry goods, etc. that you may commonly use
stuff. And having lots of things in view is stressful, because it makes your eyes work hard. You don't have to be a minimalist, but having adequate storage is key to reducing stress.

Love this design and layout for the dining room/tv room! Perfect spot for tv, love the tall glass doors and shelving. I can't tell it there is blind storage underneath but if so, this is great. Also

moving the kitchen to the back, Sutton created a single great room overlooking the garden, making it more private and entertainment friendly. The biggest challenge was keeping the kitchen design compact so it wouldn't overwhelm the rest of the room. Trade-offs included integrating kitchen storage into built-ins

European nuance to a small and highly functional kitchen done all in white, down to the tableware. No colors to distract from the purpose of the space. Methodical and collected.
Or, consider adding recessed shelves. You'll have room for all your kitchen essentials and score a clean-lined, contemporary
task or prep areas in your kitchen. A small internal pocket (usually about 3 inches) is built into each side of the cabinet. When the doors are open, they can look just like any other cabinet door. But when they close, they slide back into themselves. They're perfect for a kitchen — isn't bumping your shin
