The diamond-patterned windows in this room were custom made to match the original 1845 windows throughout the home. They are from Norwood Windows (www.norwoodwindows.ca).

One day: love the window in the middle. So much natural light. :)
in both windows!! also love the vanity!
If we ever put the kitchen in the living room this would work under the front window
window above bench seat or vanity in bath
When it's still too hot to open windows and doors, leave windows shadeless and use shutters instead. Keep them flung open for the appearance of wide-open windows. It is no true substitute, but it is better than a closed-off window smothered in curtains.

There are five windows at the table. The table sits in a bay that projects fro the back of the house. There are three windows at the back of the bay (you can see two of them in the photo) and one window on each side of the bay.

I love the trend of swapping out upper wall cabinets for windows in a kitchen. It makes a space so gloriously open and filled with light. What a pleasure it must be to cook and entertain in here! With such abundant natural light bouncing through the room, you can also introduce darker and bolder colors
