Poppie's Candy Land Room
Ainsley's room was inspired by the board game Candy Land. We began the process by painting the room a great Tiffany blue color and then candy striped the ceiling pink, red and white (talk about a tough task at seven months pregnant!). I then painted the Candy Land mural on one wall. We kept the cost of the

by color, probably more than adults. I can't think of anything in a child's room more thrilling than an amazing wall mural. This life-sized Candy Land game board brings much color and whimsy to this space, creating miles of smiles.

Beautiful!!! How much space do these needs need to reach the top landing?
11". Most homes have 13-14 treads so the footprint would be about 154" long by the width of the stairs (36" minimum). The photo above also has a landing at the bottom which would add at least another 24" inches minimum. You will also have to factor in overhead clearance..... 6'8" is the minimum.
the landing of these stairs can we do this?

Upper Staircase
This is no ordinary landing; it’s practically another room! Because the home’s traditional architecture is so clean and simple, we were able to contrast it with contemporary fabrics and artwork. Our client’s miniature chairs fit perfectly in the niche---a collection always has more impact when grouped

Using the landing for a reading space
Love the idea of a mini library tucked away - this one in on a landing!
Creating a landing library is one of the best uses for this neglected area. This landing has enough room to accommodate two comfortable wingback chairs; an area rug and chandelier define the space as sitting room.

Great use of space on landing
Interesting thing to do for a stairwell landing.
Great learning center and use of landing space.
amazing for a stairway landing! Chess anyone?
for landing to basement or upstairs?
8. Create a cozy corner for board games and puzzles. A landing is an often-overlooked space in many homes. If you have an oversize landing, consider converting it to a nook for games or reading.
3. Set up a large landing. Built-ins are nice but not required here. Take advantage of that
Converting a large stair landing into a play nook is a nice solution. Built-in shelving, benches and a table create a spot that's made for coloring pictures or playing games.
What an amazing use of space! A large stair landing or an underutilized nook in your home can transform into the ideal homework

Landing at curve does not have reinforecment beam....clean look
The central stair oozes Southern tradition, with its gentle swoop and corner steps below a landing that serves as a podium for the chancellor to address guests on. But a close look at the pickets reveals a modern touch. The profile of the pickets reinforces the rhythm of the steps nicely.
