asian landscaping decor? I like it.
maybe a mountain vista or even a tree in bloom in a neighbor’s yard. Bamboo is an obvious choice as a fencing material, but wooden fences, especially those with a grid pattern, will also work
Enclose the space. Because these gardens are a microcosm of the world outside, fences and gates play an important role. Fences create boundaries that set the garden apart. The trick is to keep these barriers from feeling harsh or forbidding. Fences are
off the landscape they enclose. Plantings may conceal part of the fence to both soften it and hint at a world beyond, or the fence itself may be painted to blend into the rest of the yard rather than stand out sharply. The opposite approach is the fence that is opened up in one spot to capture a view beyond

reveal a slight texture. Is this the same as sand finish? We want a very subtle, fairly fine sand texture. Thanks for your help!
recommend a contractor or contractors to do this kind of concrete work in the bay area?
where can you buy river rock in bulk?
Rain chains are actually very functional. The rain will drain down the chain, and into a receptacle. So yes, it does guide the rain water
smoother than a light water wash, if they hard trowel and let it cure a while. I don't know the exact timing on the technique.

like circular bed and rest stone.
Flagstones, dry creek bed and colorful plantings
A ring of California poppies brightens this dry-style planting bed between a flagstone terrace and a stone path. In a somewhat domesticated situation such as this, you'd probably want to tidy up the postbloom appearance; remove the drying-up plants after bloom.

opened, and a new home office and guest suite were created, increasing the area to 4910 SF. Outside, a new pool and outdoor living areas were added. New xeriscaped yards include berms and an arroyo to intercept and redirect pesky floodwaters. The finished home integrates two themes: regional rustic charm
time for a comprehensive renovation and expansion to the blah and maze-like 3660 SF, two story house. Chief complaints included: Too compartmentalized, too cramped, cannot entertain, no office for “millions of papers”, no accessible guest suite for aging parents, kids outgrowing their rooms, dated kitchen
This is too heavy, but could we use a rill or moat for drainage purposes?
His solution was to add an arroyo, a deep, dry trench landscaped with river pebbles that channels water from the front of the house to a creek out back. In response

A durable, meaningful design heals a devastated residential property bordering Acadia National Park and Somes Sound on Maine’s Mount Desert Island. Comprehensive stormwater management strategies shape new landforms, resulting in elegant grading and thoughtful drainage solutions. Native plant colonies
garden a unified, established feel. Lichen-encrusted stone retaining walls define edges, thresholds, and overlooks, and thick slabs of salvaged granite embedded in the earth provide gathering terraces and pathways. With balance restored, brilliant seasonal drama unfolds.
What is the material used for this natural pathway? Is it a kind of mulch? Thanks!
this to a garden path in Montana. Would it have any effect on the natural landscape to use something like this? How long would this last, and is it quite slippery? My path has a slight grade down, and I know pine needles can be sleek. Do they blow out of alignment quite easily? Or are they just as
