How about the names of the plants? Thanks
Would love to know the names of the plants and if these are planted in a shady or sunny area.
I don't like too many of these spiky plants.

What are the red plants in the pots?
similar effect with several plants including Buxus microphylla var. japonica and Pittosporum 'Golf Ball'. There will be other plants which are suited to your area. When pruning into a ball, make certain to look at the plant from all directions until it's even.

Plant selection? Grouping of pots? Different levels?
Lathouris cleared a few radiata pine trees from the edge of the property to give the planting beds more sunshine. The pines were cut into bulky beams and used to build the family's home.

Formal zones too blocky, too stuffy, to boring! Looks like a plant nursery.
potential to have different species mass planted broken up by the concrete paths
try massing multiple species throughout your yard. The contrasts among them can reveal features in each that may have gone on unnoticed had only one plant type been used. The varieties play off each other's characteristics in unexpected ways.

Wide granite slabs of entry pathway.
Hi Folks, the plant with the large purple spikes spilling into the path is Catmint, Nepata 'Walker's Low' the hot pink globes in the lower left corner are Armeria maritima and the lighter pink is Dianthus, though I can't remember the variety
Is the lavender flowering plant catmint ? It's so beautiful.
2. SpillersGive a straight walkway graceful curves by planting perennials that gently tiptoe onto the surface. Here, catmint sprawls at regular intervals to create a sense of rhythm and repetition.
PathStraight paths can easily look like a runway, suggesting a fast entry and exit with no reason to linger. To create the illusion of curves, repeat a key plant. Purple catmint (Nepeta sp) and pink dianthus (Dianthus sp) have been used in this photograph on alternating sides of the path.As these mounds spill

I want to plant some flowers in my garden, I like the flowers on the picture, what is the name of the flowers and can they be under the sun all day.
These looks like newly planted Hydrangea 'Endless Summer". These will eventually grow to be 3-5 feet.
Love the way this garden has been planted. Who would have thought to use these plants together
border of petite hydrangeas for the 2006 San Francisco Designer Showcase. While they look adorable in this photo taken at the time, you would be wise to plant yours farther apart, as they will grow to be at least 3 feet high.
