be this large. Also we like the option of having it open or private to the downstairs
Open layout. You could utilize half of the space as a bedroom with a bed, chifferobe, and mirror.... then set up the other side with a school desk, book shelves, etc.
It's also large enough to be seen from way across the room and down a level, referencing a hayloft-style window from a distance.

and the opening would have a door hinged from the wall side. I see you have 4 clips. My contractor wants to put a top rail. Did you have to specify thicker glass in order to use just clips? Any extra reinforcement needed? Thanks for any advice.
skylights that open. we need cross ventilation in our bathroom so we need to put in a window or a skylight, the contractor is pushing skylight due to an outside brick issue, and I am a bit nervous. an info would be great!
window that opens in my bathroom for many years and love it. I can lie in the bathtub and watch the sky. The light it provides is fantastic and it has never leaked. I can open it to let heat out when it builds up in the summer. The pitch of my roof is about 45 degrees.

Daylight is introduced to the home through two new shafts of windows and skylights above the living areas. A sculptural steel and limestone stair

French door openings just like the one in the images, however I noticed that you placed the fridge right next to a wall, dose fibs affect it's opening operation?
that open in both directions is always something to look at closely. In this case, there is a filler between the wall and the door. This filler is only about an 1" on each side. The door on the left will open about 110 degrees. It moves for cleaning, but otherwise it is restricted.
island in a large kitchen and have allowed for 4 pendant lights (already installed boxes) - do you think that will be alright?

like the large, double size drawers.
extra-large window lets in plenty of sunlight. Remember that a taller backsplash means any upper cabinets will have to be higher, too. You might just need a step stool to reach them.
