That's probably right. Sheet materials need a more level floor. Older buildings might have some leveling issues that aren't as visible in tile but would be visible with sheet material.

Name and manufacture of the floor tile?
The tiles were hand picked from a quarry in Wales, UK which has sadly since closed down. However, they are riven grey slate so many suppliers will stock these. I opted for random sizes to introduce pattern. Warm regards, Rebecca.
