It was in the home when I got to the job. It's a standard fireplace with a chimney. We just refinished the mantel and redid the surround.
It was existing in the home, built by the builder. I had a faux finisher refinish it.

This question is regarding the built-ins. I am looking at a home that has built-ins similar to this, but they are wood, with a fairly dark stain. I really want white built-ins like in this picture, would painting the built-ins look unattractive? Same with the baseboards throughout the house, they are
never be stingy with the width of baseboards and window and door casings. It helps to be handy and have a nail gun and compound miter saw, but I've learned it's quite easy to remove and replace baseboards and old casing. Measure twice and cut once!

Great home! Especially love this atrium and it being an intimate retreat, love the floor and bench too - the stained concrete is wonderful - any further information as to the stain would be of interest as I did think it may have had thought it was copper clad before learning it was concrete
