Here's another Library in the hall idea
ft wide? enough room for shelves or add library to play room
Library. The bookworms in our school loved the library period and even hung out in the library at lunchtime. I think one of those kids lives here now. Hallways are a perfect place for a library. Add a great rug and don't forget the stepladder for those
runner transform a hallway into a library.
Not an inch of space is wasted in this hallway. Floor-to-ceiling shelves have transformed it into a library.
I've always believed that a hallway is a good place for books — that is, if you have one and don't have a library or room in your living area. To
what with long walls and all. On the downside, they don't offer much room for sitting to enjoy them, like a library.

where do you get the library ladder?
If you are in the Minneapolis area, there is currently one on Craigslist - search "library ladder"
1. High-end library. An empty wall is all you really need to build a library. If your space has vaulted ceilings, show them off by extending the wall of books to the very top.
Already thinking of fall? Park your bar cart in the library, and you'll be ready for cozy sips when
This clever library wall follows the form of the ceiling, and is broken up by a secretary-esque piece in the center.
Here is the aforementioned library. "This is the wife’s escape room; it also happens to be the first room you see upon entering the home, so carries double the importance," says

what are the dimensions of the library?
I'm not convinced the fireplace is used as a fireplace. To me, it looks like the library/den is added on, the door openings may have been block and/or windows. The "fireplace" appears to be open to both rooms, but I think is there for aesthetics
This room is perfect. I love the library in the back.

I love a game or puzzle table. Maybe by the library.
library/game room love the chess table idea
This is actually exactly the concept I am looking for...library, game table, etc. only thing missing is a nice reading chair
Create a game room and library. Transform a spare room into a game room and library. You could have card night and use the space to read a book or play a private game of solitaire.
A cozy table for four lets the library double as a fun game room for everything from a snowy-day Monopoly game with family to late-night poker games with chums.

library - do a built in book shelf
From the gloss floor to the tall column, this one-wall library opens up to the rest of the room with an understated boldness. The shelving is distinct and darker than the surrounding architecture. And who doesn't want an Eames addition to their reading corner?
Old books. You don't need to turn your home into an antiquarian bookshop to enjoy that old-book smell. Try using a spare table as an impromptu library, filling it with stacks from your collection. When you pass by, you will be tempted to pause and leaf through your favorites.
