you've placed a chair and desk in front of the window/doors.....which I have been avoiding. (The # of times those doors will be opened in.....maybe 1-2X/year!? So why not make the room space work better and not worry about the window/fr. doors opening in.
We're planning furniture for a home office/library. It's approximately 12 X 17. Like this plan - we have fr. door windows facing the front of our property. No other windows. The longer walls each have an entryway facing each other. The end opposite the windows
This is an artful combination, because the window is lower than the door. The designer paired a valance over the window with attached valances on the panels over the sliding glass door, which allows the line of the valance to sweep across the room, and minimizes the difference

I like the simplicity of this design. It is beach house modern. The cutaway is similar to my house and I love the barn door sliders. I also like the cedar color though not sure if we can get this at the beach.
