Here's a great idea for bookshelves and check out the tempered glass floor (reinforced w/wires so light can pass through to the bottom floor!)

What do I do with my light oak cupboards? I want to either stain them
use a diamond or checkerboard pattern in landing at the top of the stair landing and check a runner of the darker stain down the middle
window through to add curiosity and bring light in.
