Linear shower drains (not this specifically)
A tile-top linear drain is one of the hottest looks now and one of my clients' preferred choices. This shower, set by Ceramiques Hugo Sanchez, showcases the polished look that's possible with modern drains. An opening of at least 2.48 square inches or 1,600 square millimeters is recommended. Smaller openings
look nicer, but they will affect the flow rates of these drains.Tip: Clean these tile-top drains regularly to keep the flow rates at optimum levels. Hair buildup around the drain's waste pipe can choke the air needed to keep the shower drain flowing properly.

this new way of drains are amazing
This shower also has a long linear drain from ACO. When you're having a linear drain installed, ask to keep the tile height about 1/16 to 1/8 inch above the drain's edge, so the soap suds and water can fall off the edge of the tile and into the drain.

I like the linear drain pattern.
The right drain choice. Waterproofing a shower is only one part of the equation; getting the right drain for the shower is key as well. The shower often dictates the drain choice. various reasons, a center outlet drain might not have worked in this installation. An offset drain like this can help expand a shower's usable space if it can be done without moving existing drain lines.
