that the way a house was built in 1926 is not for the way we live today. Architectural pop-outs serve as window seats or garden windows. The living room and dinning room have been opened up to create a larger, more flexible space for living and entertaining. The ceiling in the central vestibule was lifted
I'm considering placing a high shelf around my living room and kitchen, maybe even bedroom, mainly to store books. However, I love the bracketless look but don't know if its strong enough for a library.
love the 9 pictures hanging up, can you tell me what shop I could buy these from?
How is this bracketless shelf fastened to the wall
Did you find out how to hang the shelf without bracket?

Can you please tell me where the shelf was made or was it custom? What is the material?
How was the shelf installed? How is it supported?
Thank you for your question. We specified a mirror / frame size in our design and this mirror was then custom built by the project builder. It's large size, makes this small room feel bigger.
Living room - leave wood color maybe?
Nice shelf for a powder room.
Trinity bath- or a shelf below mirror ?
long mirror over shelf (but would need behind-mirror storage/cabinet)
Clear out all clutter. It's one way to get the most out of a small room. And use the inner walls for storage. I hope that mirror opens up to a deep medicine cabinet with lots of shelves.

The width of the room? No one answered the question before....although it was asked.
Could you please tell us the dimensions of this room. Thanks
pic's i've viewed, and planning my own long, narrow laundry/mud room, it appears to me to be 8 or 9' wide - 2' for cabinets on each side, and 4-5' floor space...
who answers these questions, I need to know too.. sink and size of room
Just wondering about width and length of this room?

Questions17
what are the dimensions of this room (or at least how wide is it)?
I was wondering if there are any additional photos of the wall where the machines and sink are. The configuration is very similar to my laundry room and I'd like to see how you treated the sink area. Thank you ahead of time! Suzanne
I love this laundry room and I would like to know the wall color
I recommend elevating the units if you have other space for both a laundry tub with drip rack or hanging as well as counter top space. leave more room for bending over and pulling out the units (they are larger than the avg top loaders. One important note; many of these units
I would definitely classify this as a multi-purpose room...laundry, mud, office/sewing/craft. It's quite an action packed little space. :o)

two floors my first house was cosy alright! Some of my friends described it as a "1912 doll house". Once, someone knocked on my door because she had lived in the house as a child and wanted to see it again. I think there were 6 siblings. Yikes! - I felt crowded when husband and child arrived. Well I hope
rule of thumb is to never trust the colors on your computer display, and order samples of all the principle materials. This lets you see them in your room's actual light, and how they compare morning to evening, winter to summer.
Open shelving and shel under window. Hanging shelves
Small shelf with two burner cooktop on it.
I love the little book shelf under the window
Now this is really maximizing space — an open shelf below the window for easy access to cookbooks.

many inches from the floor should a floating cabinet be hung. I am thinking of hanging one just like this picture and putting the tv on the wall like the picture also but am not sure how many inches from the floor to hang the cabinets. Please help : ). Lragu63@yahoo.com Thanks
Is the wall to the left of the fireplace symmetrical with the floating cabinet and shelf seen on the right sid
Yes and no; we put an identical floating cabinet on the other side but extended the mantle across the right side to create a shelf at a lower height than the one above the tv.
