I'd like to know the width of the house.
we are hoping that for $100-200K more, we can have at least one wall of glass. are french doors an economic way to do this? These doors are too narrow for our taste. I was thinking of maybe 3 wide

roof connection idea - front porch of house to garage
A pediment's peak is a perfect spot for a star to attract good fortune and protect the family who lives here. And it adds farmhouse flair to the house. I'm not sure whether to call classify this star as gold/yellow or gold/brown. A yellow star brings health in body and mind, love of man and the sun

information about the siding temp. Real option for residing our house... but what is the cost?
Like the way this shop looks like a house. I would add windows though.
Nice house, zero south facing windows.
I think we should consider a pale grey colour roof for a cooler house

Questions11
It's board & batten siding. We used cement board for the board and batten and the lap siding on this house for lower maintenance. Houzz wrote a nice piece on this kind of siding here: http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/3221642/list/Renovation-Detail--Board-
narrow and wide board and batten
Interesting hardy board application- pool house maybe?
Board and batten - like how it is narrower on the top part and wider at the bottom

playroom on the second floor. A small vegetated roof is located adjacent to the stairwell and is visible from the upper landing. Interiors throughout the house, both in new construction and in the existing renovation, were handled with great care to ensure an experience that is cohesive. Partition walls that
vaults expressed. A new kitchen island both defines and complements this singular space. The parti is a modern addition to a suburban midcentury ranch house. Hence, the name “Modern with Ranch.”
On that style of house I hate, a re-do would involve lining up all of the facade but the part already jutting out
Pretty for the back of the house
A closer look at the back of the house reveals some of what is going on inside: a TV over some wall-mounted storage is in the lower room, and a smaller room is seen in the rectangular opening upstairs. Take a peek inside, next.
