of the headboard from the top of the mattress to the top of the headboard is 24". Overall thickness of the headboard is approx 3-4". Foam is probably 2" thick. On this specific bed the overall height of the headboard on the wall is 48". (the headboard only goes down to the top of the box spring though

This was made in much the same way I made mine (plywood, staple gun, foam, batting and that stunning fabric), but with a fancier cut on the plywood. If that seems daunting just keep in mind that this would look amazing as
