What is better than one small chair in a room? A pair of them. In this living area, they are the wonderfully "other" element: classic rather than contemporary, patterned rather than solid, small rather than large. The space could just as easily have
overstuffed chair, but these offer so much more.

Cherner chair is the most feminine looking chair on the planet — and that goes double for the barstool version. That slim little waist, flared seat and long shapely legs would make Barbie jealous. It's the barstool I would choose.

natural maple. The designer wants to add a thick crown molding in white above my existing maple cabinets to take them to the ceiling (similar to the thick crown I. This kitchen photo). The Crown would also be added around the kitchen. Will it look good to mix white with Maple???? I am a little worried
with old maple (yellow hued) floors?
I am remodeling my kitchen and want a look similar to this, but currently have vintage natural maple floors (with a yellow hue). Would the floor look OK with this design? If not, would it be OK to change the floor even though the kitchen meets up with the family
front side facing the range, specially on the "legs"? Hope that makes since.
natural maple. I probably wouldn't change the family room floor color, but could use area rugs to perhaps balance things out.

Maple. If you're looking for a hard, light-colored floor, consider maple. It's a close-grain hardwood, meaning that its grain pattern is more subtle than a lot of other woods can be. Capitola | Bay Area
maple flooring. Does maple turn yellow with time?
ovens side by side in island with cabinets for pots and pans
Maple. If you're looking for a hard, light-colored floor, consider maple. It's a close-grain hardwood, meaning that its grain pattern is more subtle than a lot of other woods can be. Maple is extremely hard and dent-resistant, and as a naturally light wood, it tends to show up as a light floor

maple wood floor, very light color
Maple is a nearly non-porous wood and it can't absorb dark stains very easily
Shows maple cabinets with different wood floor. Don't like how maple turns more yellow with time.
side bar does not come out far but too little storage
Vinyl plank floor with maple cabinets lighter
Maple is a nearly non-porous wood and it can't absorb dark stains very easily. Dark-stained maple tends to look blotchy — it's a characteristic of the wood, not the stain. All woods change color with time, and maple tends to grow more yellow with age. That's another characteristic to be aware of
clearer the maple, the more expensive it tends to be. Natural flaws such as mineral streaks and pin knots tend to lower the grade and the price of a maple floor.Maple pros: Hard and dent resistent Cons: Doesn't hold dark stains well Cost: $7-$16 per square foot Suggested uses: Living areas, hallways, entryways
