Transitional Glam Kitchen
The large, dark stained island boasts a second sink and seating for casual dining and conversation. The island has a Caesarstone countertop, which gives the look of Carrera marble but is far more durable. The butcher block counter at the end of the island has an abundance of lighting for prep work
in heights, colors and textures of these two countertops provides a nice visual break for this long island while balancing the sleek look of the Caesarstone with the warmth and charm of natural wood. The homeowners are enjoying their newly remodeled kitchen that is as comfortable on lazy Sunday mornings

How does the Caesarstone Raven wear? Does it show wipe marks and fingerprints like Absolute Black granite does? Or is it better?

I want to put marble in my kitchen, I have two boys, does marble gets damage easily?
I have heard that marble countertops stain? Do you have any advice?
Is this honed or polished marble? Which is better for the kitchen?
Marble is porous & will stain & etch. Any acids will damage the tops. ( lemon, lime, tomato sauce, coffee, oj, coke etc ) If marble to be used in Kitchen use HONED... its forgiving to the etching. Sealers have come a long way in "helping" with the staining. If you like the look of marble but not
polishing marble and when and where it will be available.

recommend on the tub? • Last, did you use a polished or honed marble on walls and floors? This room is so absolutely breathtaking. Thank you so much!
Is the countertop also marble? Is it calacatta and polished or honed?
Hi Gloria, This bathroom is a polished marble. If you are concerned about your marble floor being too slippery, you will want to consider using a honed marble instead. Honed marble lacks the shiny and reflective qualities of polished marble but is resistant to scratching and less slippery
slippery when wet. You can find out more about honed vs slippery marble on my blog: http://holzmaninteriors.com/2013/12/16/honed-vs-polished-marble-option-you/

I don't like the look of whole marble slabs as much
The advantages of marble. Marble is very easy to work with. It is a softer stone that can be milled, machined and tumbled, which means it can have multiple uses. This bathroom has full slabs of marble for walls, counters and flooring, and then smaller pieces for the crown molding and door casing details

Carrara vs. Calacatta Marble: What is the Difference? The Answer is in the Color and Veining of These Popular Italian Marbles 34EmailPrintEmbed on Your Site Share: Carrara or Calacatta? People often mix up these two marbles, so I decided to create an ideabook to illustrate
the differences. These terms are used interchangeably because both of these Italian marbles are very similar in appearance: white with gray veining. To add to the confusion, much of Calacatta comes from Carrara, Italy. In general, Carrara tends to be grayer with softer veining, while Calacatta is whiter
